NetMe-In has chosen to work with the usual (and less usual) &#8220;intermediaries&#8221; who can have access to these Young people in difficulties, and are able to help them to get back on track into the &#8220;Journey to work&#8221;, meanwhile getting tips and tricks about making a good first impression and the perfect selfie.</strong></p>

<p><strong>First Impression</strong></p>
<p>First impressions of social traits, such as trustworthiness or dominance, are reliably perceived in faces, and despite their questionable validity they can have considerable real-world consequences. We sought to uncover the information driving such judgments, using an attribute-based approach. Attributes (physical facial features) were objectively measured from feature positions and colors in a database of highly variable “ambient” face photographs, and then used as input for a neural network to model factor dimensions (approachability, youthful-attractiveness, and dominance) thought to underlie social attributions.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.york.ac.uk/research/themes/facial-features/">Researchers at the Department of Psychology at University of York</a> analysed 1,000 images of faces in order to find the specific facial tics and features that help make a good first impression. The research was on 3 themes:</p>

<p><strong>Building your professional Profile</strong></p>
<p>Building your personal profile or your digital professional identity (DPI) means starting from the reflection on yourself to be able to present yourself at the best to others. Your e-profile must valorize your personal and professional experiences.</p>
<p>An e-profile is:</p>
<ul>
<li>A personal experience folder</li>
<li>A list of skills, evidence, documents</li>
<li>A portrait</li>
</ul>
<p>Build a list of your educational, social and professional experiences as exhaustive as possible. Do not neglect experiences and skills that seem banal to you! Once the list is ready, cross it with your &#8220;life story&#8221;, with your recent and current activities. For each  identified competency, try to define your level of &#8220;performance&#8221; (general knowledge, use of terminology, operational control, knowledge transmission, innovation and creation, &#8230;). We will publish soon some video&#8217;s about I-Branding in our next blog/article around social media profiling  and branding a DPI.</p>

<p><strong>Everywhere in Europe, young people have difficulties to find a job. The challenge is even more serious for those of them who have less or no diploma, and a lower level of education or qualification. The pathway to a job is a real journey across agencies, offices, advisement or guidance structures, counsellors, family, peers, …In the same time, the structure and nature of employment is drastically changing. The digital era is one of radical evolution, both for the jobs and for the way to access them. The Final Conference NetMe-In on 12th June 2018 in Paris, addressed this in an excellent way: A Review:</strong></p>

NetMe-In builds upon a series of previous projects that paved the road towards improvements of the journey to work and of the accompaniment processes. One key aspect of theses evolutions is related to the more and more dominant role of the digital social media in this journey to work, and in the support of accompaniment.</p>
<p><strong>NetMe-In deals with Networks of Accompaniment:</strong></p>
<p>&#8220;real life networks&#8221; made of all people who, at territorial level, have a role to play in opening, eliciting, and facilitating the road to word, and in setting the beacons that will enable people to become more confident and more able to reach success. &#8220;digital life networks&#8221; which are becoming the essential link between the jobs, the companies, the recruiters, the agencies, the families, etc. and the job seekers; by enabling the young people to present their experiences, as informal as they could be, and to speak about themselves in a positive and proactive way, they initiate possible steps to bridge the gap between the person and the job position in the company.</p>

Including the young people in this web of relations and knowledge from the start makes it possible to reveal the potentials of people way beyond formal CVs and competence descriptions.</p>
<p><strong>The NetMe-In final conference in Paris, France</strong> confronted the NetMe-In outcomes with other works, projects and ideas; and iniated a debate among actors; to propose common recommendations to further develop concrete actions; to influence new policy development at Regional and European level regarding the &#8220;#JourneyToWork&#8221; for Young people at risk; <strong>to evidence new beacons to enlighten the &#8220;Journey to Work&#8221; and help all actors to better navigate it</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>The NetMe-In Final Conference prooved to be a unique opportunity to:</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong>&#8211; share the findings and outcomes capitalised from the works (such as the workshops around the #BrandI,<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bcByro4kp4"> NMI Board Game,</a> <a href="https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzhDTKLBdhoPTHdWS3EzaGFsZ0E">storytelling for employment</a> to see a list of all the results and activities, <a href="http://www.netmein.eu/db/knowledge-cap/catalog">click here</a>) of the project partners and field actors;</p>
<p>&#8211; open the access to a new audiences coming from different horizons – researchers, professionals, decision makers, social partners, groups of Young People, who were maybe nor directly implied in the project, other European Networks acting in related fields, etc.;</p>
<p>&#8211; broaden the scope and meaning of NetMe-In conclusions;</p>
<p>&#8211; get more knowledge by including more experiences, practices, reflexions, etc.;- discover more opportunities for sustainability, by finding other audiences or territories that could appropriate our outcomes and implement them in their context;</p>
<p>&#8211; develop new paths of cooperation and set the basis for new partnership and possible new projects.</p>

NetMe-In is initiated by European partners from France, Italy, Croatia, The Netherlands, Spain and Turkey and is a very good example of the digital society of today. This European project is focused on building a safe digital professional identity for the young jobseeker and how to marketeer yourself into the world of work.</p>

<p><strong>Morning Session Lyon</strong></p>
<p>During the morning sessions Lilianne Esnault and Axel Joder, Freref project managers  explained, what kind of results and what kind of Knowledge Buidling Caps have been delivered and will be delivered in the future. After the Lunch break the Youth sector of the Feyzin city (near Lyon) presented how to create a space for young people, made and shared by young people&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Knowledge Building Caps &#8211; What is Easy? What is Difficult; and how to tackle it?</strong></p>
<p>Already a lot of knowledge Buidling Caps (KBS), call it concepts or try-outs of products &#8211; prototypes &#8211; were presented by the NetMe-In partners. Some KBCs were easy to set up and produce. Probably the most difficult to have experienced is working on a local and EU level as well, certainly as regards to the NEETs target group. Further it is clear that this target group don’t talk English (fluently). So we need to emphasize the importantance of sharing (e.g. Italian synchronization –Spanish/Catalan subtitles, etc.)</p>
<p>Another important question do the young people always understand the philosophy of the KBC. It is clear that a fantastic product (&#8216;KBC&#8217; is certainly not the word/acronym we should use) without any proper communication and/or dissemination  about the content of the KBC/idea, it will not have any impact … we need to use more common words like: drafts, concepts, manuals, guides, tools, blogs, articles… So good idea would be to present the KBC as a &#8216;draft&#8217; or &#8216;concept&#8217;, presenting it through an article/blog. The NetMe-In project will soon present these on the open pages on the <a href="http://www.NETMEIN.eu">NetMe-In website</a> as well (currently it&#8217;s still behind the NetMe-In intranet wall). Everyone has experiences, whether or not they are formal; the point is</p>
<p>therefore to present these personal experiences in the digital environment in such a way as to promote employability with potential employers, regardless of the level of qualification.</p>
<p>This is the starting point of the NetMe-In project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, and implemented in six countries (Croatia, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Turkey) by  ten partners.</p>
<p>The aim is to provide a &#8217;tool box&#8217; of self-training modules available on-line (Knowledge Building Caps) on themes relating to digital technology and employment for three groups of people: those seeking employment, supporters and players in the business world. These KBCs are in the course of development. To construct this tool box, the project&#8217;s partners have set up local support networks in their regions, putting those three groups of people in contact with each other, so as to enable them to contribute to the completion of these modules by collating their experiences and testimonies. These local networks are expected to become working communities, as well as to contribute to the establishment of a European working community involved in giving support towards employment through the use of digital technology tools. These last, arising from a training mobility integrated in the project context, are open to all,  allowing everyone to discuss and share the ideas arising from each individual&#8217;s practices.</p>

<p><strong>NetMe-In: Building Knowledge Caps</strong></p>
<p>In our <a href="http://www.dutchfoundationofinnovationwelfare2work.com/netme-in-roma-about-a-digital-professional-id/">previous blog post</a> about the NetMe-In project we have posted about the meeting in Rome. This is part 2 of the work done in Italy. We have discussed a lot about building the content and design of Knowledge Caps. The Knowledge Caps are small learning modules available on the Internet with concrete examples and situations; the goal is to foster and sustain less formal learning about the main issues tackled in NetMe-In. The general process will be kept as agile as possible, meaning that Knowledge Caps will be released continuously, trialled and improved in a short looping process according to the remarks of users.</p>
<p>A Knowledge Building Cap (KBC) can be made of: A learning objective; A set of expected learning outcomes; A script or scenario; A set of “microcaps” to illustrate the content like cartoons, videos, situations, etc.</p>

It is important to foster such actions, propagate them towards different actors and territories, and built upon them, for another step forward. The “core mottos” of NetMe-In are: Professional Social Networks and Digital Professional Identity Management are key to access job market successfully Building knowledge informally and less formally enables to improve actors’ Web 2.0 professional literacy and sets the grounds for self-esteem, confidence, trust, and commitment Building Accompaniment Networks in Territories and Europe with all field actors is compelling to better accompany Young People in their “Journey to Work</p>
<p><strong>How will this be achieved?</strong></p>
<p>In NetMe-In, this will be achieved through three main threads of actions:</p>

<p>As regards to the KBCs we will need to monitor what we have achieved so far ? – populating the forecasted KBCs with the microcaps<br />
and other pieces of content (scripts, …) – and what is still missing? The Importantance of the coordination and organisation of the work for producing the KBCs wil be addressed by Monica Turrini (KBCs as learning modules – who wants to own what – who wants to contribute to what).</p>
