The ProCKD Newsletter covers the Dutch ProCKD training activity held at AREA071. Presentations and workshops were made that supported the purpose of the project and helped to develop the competencies of the target group. In particular, examples of good practice were introduced to integrate patients with Chronic Kidney Disease with peer leaders in the business world. A wee look back in ProCKD time.

The project ProCKD, draws attention to the socio-economic problems faced by individuals suffering from kidney diseases. The focus of this project is to promote services or activities carried out by organizations that can be increase training opportunities for employability among disadvantaged groups, chronically ill or disabled people, and especially people with kidney disease. The Project further intended to exchange of good practices from different cultures. This is the second Newsletter of the project.

Second Newsletter ProCKD

The project ProCKD, which was funded by the European Commission from December 2020, draws attention to the socio-economic problems faced by individuals suffering from kidney diseases. The focus of this project include, how kidney patients can continue their jobs after starting dialysis, how to encourage them to continue education and training, and how to help unemployed patients find meaningful jobs. This is the first Newsletter of the project, which looks back on the webinar “work is treatment and treatment is work”. This was held online on February 16 with the participation of all partners, organized by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Pieter Van Schie was the speaker of the webinar and emphasized the current problems related to employment.
