Introducing the Macedonian VET-System

The Macedonian VET-System
The project ‘Creating VET Business Partnerships for WBL’ is a partnership with Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Turkey, The Netherlands and North Macedonia. One of the aims is to provide an overview of theoretical perspectives on Work based learning education, to support young people, schools and companies out there. Our project starts with making overviews of the VET Systems in each partnership country.

On January 24th-25th 2022 we have our transnational project meeting in Skopje. That’s why we publish our sixth project article in the VET-WBL Series, which covers the Macedonian vocational education and training system.

During August 24th-25th 2021 the partnership ‘Çreating VET Business Partnerships for Work-Based Learning’ came together for the Hybrid meeting (OnLine and face-to-face) in Larissa Greece. In this very successful meeting we discussed and presented our progress so far with our products and intelectual outputs: VET-WBL Guide, Passport to Success and the VET-WBL Platform.

Our first project articles in the VET-WBL Series covers the German and Dutch vocational education and training system. This article gives a more indepth look in the most popular Job search instruments. Recent research by Intelligence Group shows that job sites are the most-used channels when searching for a new job. That makes job sites a more popular method than using own networks, Google or social media. Since they are so popular, we have delved into the world of job sites and accumulated a top 25 for you.

The project ‘Creating VET Business Partnerships for WBL’ is a partnership with Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Turkey, The Netherlands and North Macedonia. One of the aims is to provide an overview of theoretical perspectives on Work based learning education, to support young people, schools and companies out there. Our project starts with making overviews of the VET Systems in each partnership country. Our first project article in the VET Series covers the German vocational education and training system, also known as the dual training system. This VET System is highly recognized worldwide due to its combination of theory and training embedded in a real-life work environment.
