People with disabilities, people with severe mental health diseases, experience the greater level of social exclusion, due to various reasons, with lack of knowledge, ignorance and stigma being the predominant ones among them. In other words, it is not the condition per se of the people with severe mental health disease that obliges them to not participate in social activities, work, live like all, but the beliefs that surround their condition and them in general.

Education, culture and youth policies play a central role in building a cohesive, competitive and supportive
Europe, as can be seen in the Communication from the European Commission on the theme “Building a stronger
Europe: the role of policies for youth, education and culture “(2018), which incorporates the conclusions of the
Gothenburg social network and the European Council at the end of 2017, it is necessary and indeed urgent to put
young people in a position to actively participate in civil life and politics, exploiting the potential of culture,
learning, mobility, with the aim of giving them power and capacity to contribute to well-being, social and economic
growth, and the diffusion of European values of cohesion, inclusion and solidarity. PHOTOFX wants to contribute to the achievement of these strategic objectives through the establishment of a consortium of organizations that, by mutual agreement, seek to create a suitable environment for civic participation and active citizenship of young people through the use of photography and communication.

Why this trend for third places? We spoke about about this during our OnLine meeting on May 25th. During the Places-3T Workshop on June 3rd we will talk more in-depth about the many factors influencing this trend. Among others: those linked to the “delocalisation of tertiary and/or managerial work or including customer relations, for example, which was thought to be dependent on “face-to-face” meetings, or those linked to the flexibilisation of the workforce – and therefore of the necessary square meters … But beyond these simple considerations of the profitability of physical locations, it seems interesting to “reverse” the proposal and to take advantage of it to open up new ideas, which make it possible to combine severa new approaches: the creation of value, well-being at work, the spirit of entrepreneurship, the sharing of values, welcoming and inclusive environments, social and technological innovation, culture and artistic enrichment, etc

It is closely connected to unemployment, social exclusion, poverty and poor health, so has serious repercussions not just for the concerned individuals but society as a whole. The “Early Digital Diagnosis and Intervention (EDDI)” project aims to help improve student retention rates by helping teachers, families and students better understand the causes and consequences of ‘Early School Leaving’. The project will also develop effective digital solutions aimed at combatting the problem.

The project VET-WBL, also known as ‘Creating VET Business Partnerships for WBL’ has started Work-based learning – Training on Best practices. Our german partner Wisamar is leading the training. The partnership with Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Turkey, The Netherlands and North Macedonia aims is to provide an overview of theoretical perspectives on Work based learning education, to support young people, schools and companies. During the VET-WBL training the VET systems of each country will be compared. The VET-WBL Series started with the German vocational education and training system, also known as the dual training system. Today we will highlight the Dutch VET System.
