Journey to Work – A Success Story
The Journey to Work Programme is been a success story from the beginning. Currently We are running Journey to Work 6 and we are still going strong. The skills mismatch in the youth labour markets has become a persistent and growing trend. Many of these young people are not only early-school leavers, lacking qualifications, relevant skills & work experience but more and more it affects third-level graduates who cannot find a first job. Nordström/Skans (2011) show that an unemployment spell of more than 51 days subsequent graduation increases the probability of unemployment 5 years later. The Corona pandamic and unpaid internship schemes did not help as well. That’s why Journey to Work kicks in !

Dutch Empower.Ment
The Dutch EMPOWER.Ment transnational project meeting on Monday and Tuesday November 29-30th 2021 in Area071, at Leiderdorp was a very successful event. It was the first time the partnership organisations met each other face-to-face. The partnership could do a lot of work. Just a few days before the meeting took place the Dutch partial lockdown was implemented. Fortunately did had no impact on the success and progress made. The project introduces and ensures empowerment and inclusive support for people with severe mental health disease (SMHD), through preparation (training), mindset (toolkit) and supervision (guide) for volunteers, family/friends, professionals and students. The Empower.Ment project is co-funded by Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Union.

Italian Transational Project Meeting SMS2
The partnership Social Media Savvy Part 2 has scheduled the transnational project meeting on 5-6th December in campobasso, Italy. The SMS2 partner organisations are: Werkcenter Scotland (United Kingdom); Dutch Foundation of Innovation Welfare to Work (The Netherlands) and ARES (Italy).

The first EDDI newsletter is published ! The EDDI (Early Digital Diagnosis and Intervention) project aims to help teachers, families and students to better understand the causes and consequences of leaving education early. In turn this will help find possible solutions to the problem of Early School Leaving (ESL). We believe that only a comparative analysis of practices and interventions between countries which do well in the ESL statistics and those at the opposite end of the spectrum would deliver a sustainable solution to the ESL problem. Besides economic and social mobility impacts, ESL has been linked to bullying, violence and micro criminality. ESL is a threat to the successful future development of the workforce and community prospects. Read more about our project in our newsletter

Ecvet for Digital Publishing in Holland
The partnership Ecvet for Digital Publishing (EfDP) just finished her first transnational project meeting in Leiden/Leiderdorp at Area0071. The partnership is developing a suite of new credit-based Digital Publishing qualifications within the context of the European Qualification Framework (EQF) and related processes for European Credit Transfer for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET). A series of serious decisions was made about the content, criteria and assessment of the EfDP units.

Reconnect Training & Data Analysis
The ReConnect data analysis has the aim to develop a new pedagogical approach. The presentation by Pieter van Schie went through the ReConnect data, which has been collected through two methods of inquiry; focus groups and questionnaires. The quantitative data analysis steps we have done are data validation, data editing and data coding. Watch the Data Analysis MP4 video, on which we have based our new developed training programme for better digital teaching and learning.
